Many women are self-conscious about how they look in swimwear. Finding that perfect bathing suit that helps you look great on the beach can be a daunting task, but keeping a few flattering styles in mind while you shop can help you pick a suit you look good in and feel comfortable wearing.
How to Find Good Swimming Wear for Your Body Type
1 Determine your body shape. The following are some common body shapes for women.
Pear: You are small-busted with an average-size waist and a large bottom.
Curvy: You have an hourglass shape with a large bust and hips, and smaller waistline.
Busty: You have a large bust, but a smaller waist and hips.
Straight or Athletic: You don't have many curves.
Tall: You have long legs and/or a long torso.
Petite: You have short legs and/or a short torso.
2 Once you decide which category or categories you fit in, you can start looking for styles that will flatter your figure.
Check out steps 3 to 7 and decide which swim styles fit you best.
3 If you're a pear shape, try a suit that draws attention to your bust. This will make you seem less bottom-heavy. Tankinis are very flattering for pear-shaped women because they provide support for the bust and can often be bought in separates. When buying a two-piece, go with a print or pattern on top to draw the eye there. You may also want to look for a top with a little extra padding and support in the cups, whether it's a bikini or tankini.
Remember, it's OK to wear a solid bottom with a patterned top. Mixing and matching is fun and makes for more swimsuits combinations. For extra coverage, consider a suit with a skirted bottom or boyshorts-cut. However, if the skirt is too long, it can actually make you look heavier, be careful to avoid bottoms with belts or skirts that may emphasize the parts you don't like as much.
Sarongs are a nice option when you are outside of the water. They provide a extra (yet sheer) coverage if you want it and add a little more pizazz to your swim wear.
If it's a one-piece you're looking for, try something with a plunging neckline or extra flair on the upper section, such as ruffles, funky straps, orother ornamental detailing.
4 If you're curvy or have a very large bust, you may want to try a one-piece suit in a bold color to show off your curves. Suits with empire waists or a low-cut bust will also flatter the hourglass shape by pulling attention away from the stomach.
Don't let a large bust keep you from wearing a two-piece. Try a halter top or a top with wide straps. Choose a top with a built-in bra for extra support, but make sure you select a suit with adequate coverage to keep your bust in place for water activities and general movement. Remember, you want to feel comfortable and sexy, not exposed.
5 If you have a straight figure or athletic build, sporty suits flatter slender and athletic bodies. Slender women, and most women with toned and muscular bodies, can actually get away with wearing many cuts on top and bottom, like bandeau and slider tops, along with low-rise hipster bottoms, boyshorts, or scoop bottoms without looking bottom-heavy.
6 If you're tall, an all-over pattern may draw attention away from your height and to the areas you want to show off. If you have long legs, you may want to accentuate them with a bottom that ties at the hip. Many tall frames can get away with the trendy styles of suits like the monokini.
7 If you're petite, look for a suit that is high-cut in the thigh. This will make your legs look longer. Avoid boy shorts and skirted bottoms; they can actually make your legs look shorter. Go for a design that runs vertically, or stick with bright-colored solids. V-shaped necklines also draw the eye up and down, making you appear taller.
Swim suits with thinner straps on the bottoms can also elongate the leg. Choose colorful designs that enhance features about yourself that you like, but avoid wearing suits that highlight too many aspects of your tiny figure.
8 Remember that you might fit into more than one category. Some women are tall and slender; others are petite and pear-shaped. Knowing the category or categories you fit into will help you narrow the swim suits to consider, so you can spend your summer at the beach instead of in the dressing room.

You don't have to have a long workout to get a quick energy burst. In fact, simply performing one set of a given exercise can be enough to give you the energy burst you need to get you through the day. There are a host of traditional and modern workouts that are ideal candidates for quick and invigorating workouts, making it easy for you to find exercises that will best suit your fitness needs.
Pushups
Touch your chest to the floor for a proper pushup.
Pushups are a traditional yet effective workout. The advantage of pushups is that you don't need equipment to perform them and you can perform a challenging number of pushups in a short amount of time. To perform a pushup, place your hands shoulder width apart on the floor and extend your legs behind you so that only the tips of your toes touch the floor. Bring your chest to the floor, keeping your entire body as parallel to the floor as possible without arching your back. Taper the amount of sets and repetitions you perform to your own capabilities, keeping in mind that even five to 10 pushups can give you an effective energy burst.
Abdominal Crunches
Touching your elbows to your opposite knee is a variation of traditional crunches.
Abdominal crunches are another classic but essential workout. Like pushups, you can perform crunches virtually anywhere without any equipment. To perform crunches, lay with your back to the floor and your feet off the floor. Your knees should be bent at a 90-degree angle so that your lower legs are parallel with your torso. With your hands behind your head, bring your chin towards your knees, without moving your head or arms. Concentrate on isolating your abdominal muscles, using only them to perform a crunch. Perform three sets of at least 15 repetitions to get a quick energy burst.
Star Squats (See References 1)
Star squats are a great workout for their simplicity and comprehensive muscle isolation. Star squats help develop core body strength especially but also many muscles, such as the hamstrings, calves, lower back and triceps. To prepare for the star squat, you should squat down with your feet together and place your hands palm down on the floor at your sides, directly below your shoulders. With a burst of energy, kick your feet behind you so that you land in the same position in which you would start a pushup. Repeat at least 10 times or until you get tired.
Jumping Jacks
Jumping jacks target many muscles in the body.
Jumping jacks are a simple exercise that you can perform, regardless of your fitness level. Stand with your feet together and your arms at your sides. All in one motion, jump and extend your feet to your sides as you simultaneously swing your arms from your sides to above your head. Once you have landed, return your appendages to their original positions as you jump again. Jumping jacks are advantageous because they exercise many muscles in the body, they require no equipment and you can do them for several minutes and still get a good workout

Metabolism is the process through which your body breaks down carbohydrates, fats and proteins to produce the energy needed for the body to maintain itself. Your metabolic rate depends on the number of calories you consume versus the amount of calories you burn when engaging in various activities such as eating, exercising and resting. If your metabolism has slowed down, you can take steps to get it back on track.
1 Increase your body's need for energy. The body burns fat only when it needs energy. Engage in aerobic exercise, interval training and weight training. All of these activities force your body to use its energy reserve.
2 Don't set your air conditioner or heating unit for maximum comfort. When your body feels too comfortable, it reduces the amount of energy your body expends to stay warm or cool. Set the thermostat so that you feel a little too hot or a little too cool. This will help you consume less food.
3 Eat every two to three hours. The more often you eat the more you stimulate your metabolism. The body becomes more comfortable using up energy because it knows you won't allow it to starve. This is one reason eating breakfast is important. Skipping meals encourages your body to store fat just in case you don't eat for a while.
4 Eat a well-balanced meal. Your small, frequent meals should consist of protein, vegetables and fiber. Vegetables are low in fat but high in nutrients. Your body requires extra energy for metabolizing and digesting protein and fiber. You burn twice as many calories digesting protein than other types of food such as fats or carbohydrates.
5 Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep slows down your metabolism because the amount of calories you burn at rest decreases.
6 Keep moving. Stand up as opposed to sitting down when possible. Walk whenever you can. Frequently interrupt stationary activities like working at your desk or watching TV with active breaks.

Whether you're an amateur runner or a professional athlete who competes in marathons, your sneakers won't last forever. A good pair of running sneakers is essential to the success of any runner. Your sneakers should offer you adequate protection, and they should be comfortable each time your foot strikes the ground. However, you can't just put on new running sneakers and expect your run to be perfect. To avoid painful blisters and sore feet and ankles, you need to break in your new running sneakers correctly.
1 Wear your new running sneakers around the house for a few days before you go on your first run with them. If you wear your new sneakers and immediately take off on a 10-mile run, you may end up with uncomfortable blisters and other foot problems. Like with any other shoe, to break in your new running sneakers, you should walk in them for two or three days. Wear them when you're doing errands or just walking around the neighborhood. If your workplace has a casual dress policy, wear them there. This will help break the sneakers in and will make your first run more comfortable.
2 Take short runs in your new running sneakers. After you've walked around your new running sneakers for a few days, go on a short run with them. If you normally run 6 miles a day, run only 3 miles with your new running sneakers. Gradually increase the mileage of your runs in the new sneakers. In time, your sneakers will feel more comfortable with each run.
3 Alternate runs between wearing your old running sneakers and the new ones. This allows you feel the difference between the two pairs, and it helps you avoid injury.
4 Break in your new running shoes at least two weeks before you run a marathon or other long race. A particularly long running event can be uncomfortable in new running sneakers that you haven't broken in yet.

Blame it on work pressure or faulty lifestyle, about 15,000 policemen in Bihar are either diabetic or suffering from high blood pressure. A good number of them are even prone to heart attack or impotency.
In an attempt to address the fitness issues of policemen, the department has asked officials in the rank of sub-inspectors and inspectors to attend yoga classes. Deputy inspector-general of police (Shahabad range) Sushil Khopde and Rohtas superintendent of police Manu Maharaj attended a yoga camp organised for the policemen at Dehri-on-Sone on Saturday.
More such camps are being planned as the number of lifestyle-related problems are on the rise among Bihar policemen. A random survey conducted by the Patna police hospital showed that about 1,500 policemen in Bihar have become either diabetic or are suffering from high blood pressure. The survey disclosed that 15 to 20 per cent of the state police force is suffering from these problems. At a medical check-up camp organised in the Gaya police lines in February this year (in collaboration with Indian Medical Association), 48 out of around 230 policemen were diagnosed as diabetic. In addition to this, 65 were found to be suffering from hypertension and high blood pressure.
Another medical camp organised at Kesaria in East Champaran district in June, found 19 policemen suffering from diabetes, while 17 others were found to be suffering from high blood pressure.
The chances of heart attack are more if people are found to be suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. Recently, B.D. Nigam, an inspector posted with the CID, died of heart attack soon after he returned from a morning stroll. The finding of the medical check-up camps organised in Masaurhi, Pali, Danapur and Barh in Patna rural were almost the same.
Former medical officer of Patna Police Hospital Parmeshwar Ojha, under whose supervision a number of medical camps were organised in Patna, said there has been an increase of about 1 to 1.5 per cent in the number of policemen suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure every year.
Dr Ojha said in 2001, when a medical camp was organised for the personnel of the Bihar Military Police in Muzaffarpur, only 10 per cent of the force was diagnosed as diabetic. Subsequently, the number rose to 15 per cent and now it has gone up to almost 20 per cent.
Dr D.K. Sahay, who was heading the medical team in Gaya, told The Telegraph the IMA has decided to renovate the police hospital at the Gaya police lines in view of the large number of policemen suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
"The IMA (Gaya unit) has been provided Rs 50,000 for the renovation work. In addition, the doctors who are attached with the association have been asked to render their service free of cost," he added.
